I am a British-Canadian and have called Canada my home since 2005. When I’m not shooting (actually, sometimes even when I am), I like to be as far away from civilization as possible. I love the outdoors. I have camped in -17°C winter nights in Algonquin Provincial Park, canoed through the rivers of France, hiked in Yosemite National Park, explored Thailand, and encountered a wolverine in Banff National Park.
My love for visual artistry stemmed from my discovery of photography. I started taking photographs when I was a young boy, snapping through many rolls of film in one day. Now in my adulthood, and with a finer appreciation of art, I’ve chosen the camera as the tool I use, and photographs as the base medium with which I convey my visual message. I am driven to conceive, compose, and post process the perfect image, and my technical side thrives on the gadgets and technology that modern photography is tied with. I’m comfortable working with world-class athletes, at ease in the extreme sports realm, and I always have a great time on every shoot.
